The housebuilder challenged children at two schools in Nuneaton to draw their perfect Christmas and designs from Sara Bray, 10, from St Anne's Primary School and Sophie Bell, nine, from Camp Hill Primary School caught the eyes of the judges to claim first prize at their respective schools.
Sara Bray and Sophie Bell impressed the panel of judges with their colourful Christmas scenes, and have had their artwork turned into real Christmas cards to be handed out to their classmates as well as residents at the nearby Bluebell development.
A presentation was recently held to announce the winners and Barratt Mercia sales advisers Andrew Cripps and Tracey Richardson were on hand to present third, second and first place winners with their prizes.
Winners Sophie and Sara also had their festive efforts rewarded with £15 W H Smith vouchers. At St Anne's Primary School second place Ola Urynowicz, four, and third place George Brayne, seven, received £10 and £5 vouchers respectively, and at Camp Hill Primary School Amber Lees, five, and Fiona Knight, six, also wowed the judges to receive their second and third place prizes.
Mary Bourne, Headteacher at St Anne's Primary School, commented "The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the competition and being given the opportunity to show off their creative flair in the run up to Christmas.

"Sara was delighted when she found out she had won and really enjoyed seeing her design made into actual Christmas cards. I'd like to thank Barratt Homes for inviting us to take part in this festive competition."
And at Camp Hill Primary School, Headteacher Pamela Harbot said "The competition was a great opportunity for the children to get into the Christmas spirit and display their artistic abilities and they all had a great time preparing their artwork.
"Sophie was really pleased to find out that she had won, and I'd like to thank all of the children and their teachers, as well as Barratt Homes, for making this such a big success as a competition."
Steve Barton, Sales Manager for Barratt Mercia said "We were very impressed with the standard of entries received from the pupils of both Camp Hill Primary School and St Anne's Primary School and it was a tough decision choosing a winner. But Sophie and Sara's colourful designs stood out from the crowd and appealed to all the judges. They make great Christmas cards and we're proud to be sending them out to residents living on our Bluebell development.
"Bluebell is located just a short distance from both schools and this is one of a number of activities that we've invited the pupils to take part in. As a company, we're committed to engaging with the local community and as a predominately family oriented development, the schools are exactly the kind of establishments that we want to work with as part of the local community.
"We look forward to continuing working on projects with the students at the two schools and helping to promote Bluebell as a great place to live."
