A brand new community in Camp Hill, Nuneaton is quickly taking shape as the first residents start to move into their new homes at Barratt Mercia's Bluebell development on Queen Elizabeth Road.
Bluebell is a landmark development in Nuneaton and since opening its doors to the public in June, the first residents are beginning to move into their brand new homes.
Ken Griffiths from Atherstone is the very first person to move into his new home at Bluebell. The 54 year old Technical Planting Operator was previously living in a three-bedroom house was longing to move closer to his family in Nuneaton and after hearing about the brand new Bluebell development, it seemed to tick all the boxes.
Ken commented, "I really liked my old home, but as someone who is living on my own and working quite long hours I just wanted something which was closer to my children and easier to maintain.
"I had mainly been looking on the second hand market in Nuneaton but hadn't found anything that was exactly what I wanted, so when I saw the homes at Bluebell for the first time, it seemed to tick all the boxes for me.
"I was able to reserve a two-bedroom coach house which is just perfect in every way. It is just the right size, so I don't have to spend lots of time cleaning, plus the communal garden is completely maintained which is one less thing to worry about.
"What's more, by being able to buy a brand new home rather than a second hand property, I have even more peace of mind. For example, I like the fact that everything is new such as the kitchen appliances and the boiler and there is also the 10 year National Housebuilding Council (NHBC) warranty."
The newly regenerated area also appealed to Ken. He said, "I really like the area too. I love to go walking in my spare time and living here means that I can head into the wood and parks and lose myself in a long walk, often with my daughter's dog.
"I have been so impressed with the service offered by Barratt throughout the move, everyone has just gone out of their way to help me and I would most definitely recommend the development to other people in the area.
"I love my new home and am really excited about getting to know everyone in this fantastic community."
Steve Barton, Sales Manager at Barratt Mercia commented, "Bluebell is a landmark development for the area and, as the first residents begin to move in, I am delighted to see this new community starting to take shape."
Barratt Mercia is now offering an extended five-year warranty on fixtures and fittings. The items which Barratt will cover at no extra cost to the buyer will include appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, kitchen units, wardrobes, the central heating system, fires, doors, windows, drainage, the hot and cold plumbing system and even the driveway.
The five-year guarantee of fixtures and fittings in place at the time of purchase is in addition to the existing ten-year warranty on the structure of new homes and remains valid even if the home is sold on to a new owner.
The exclusive offer, which is not available from any other housebuilder, marks the culmination of an intensive programme in which the company has focused on raising further the industry-leading quality of its homes.
