Over the school holidays young people, age eight to 16 are being invited to join in the sessions, which will also include cricket, tennis and rounders, on the Queen Elizabeth playing field opposite the Barratt marketing suite.

Hosted by High Five Coaching, the scheme has been set up to provide diversionary activities to help reduce anti-social behaviour as well as providing the opportunity to develop the social skills of the participants.

To help kickstart the project, Barratt has donated 60 brightly coloured sports bibs. Project Director for Barratt Mercia, Andrew Dauncey said, "We are delighted to be part of this project which provides sporting activities for local children over the summer holiday period. The aim is to build relationships with young people, giving them something fun to do in their free time."

Chris Egan, Programme Manager for PinCH added, "It is great that the High Five Coaching scheme is proving very popular with young people. Here is another example of how the Barratt and PinCH partnership are committed to supporting much more than building new homes, by providing real opportunities for people through local initiates.

Ross Innes of High Five Coaching added, "Thanks to Barratt and PinCH we have been able to extend our range of diversionary activities across Camp Hill, providing the opportunity to interact with more of the local teenagers. The new bibs provide a great visual focus and clearly reflect the importance of Barratt's involvement in strengthening local community contact."
